EXTENDED INFORMATION:
Graduating on the Dean’s list and earning a scholarship, Cindy completed an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Music and Kinesiology from York University. Her advanced studies focused on Relaxation, Health Psychology and education. A true believer in holistic wellness, Cindy balanced out her western training with further studies in Reiki, the Chakra system and Meditation.
An engaging and dynamic speaker, Cindy presents keynote speeches and workshops to small and large groups across the North America. Previous clients include Leadership Peel, Region of Peel, Princess Margaret Hospital, Community Living and many more.
What makes Cindy an exceptionally powerful presenter is the authentic delivery of her own real life experience. Despite what doctor’s have said, Cindy has refused to accept any of life's limitations, never letting anyone, or anything stand in her way. For example, at 14, the doctors told her to limit physical activity yet 4 years later...she trained as a professional dancer, 6 hours a day. Her lung is permanently damaged but now she is an accomplished singer.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Cindy has made great contributions in the education field. As an educational consultant for the distinguished Royal Conservatory of Music’s “Learning Through the Arts” program, her creative work has been published in two teacher resource guides and distributed nationally.
In addition to her work as an educator & facilitator, Cindy studied singing, dancing & acting intensely with Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, Second City, Livent of Canada & Toronto Dance Theatre and has performed numerous times on stage, TV and in recordings. In 2006, Cindy released her debut CD, Don't Rain on My Parade featuring Cindy’s original song “Butterfly” – an inspiring tribute to all children facing health challenges - drawing on her own experiences of childhood illness and recovery.
Cindy’s background in education and performance enables her to communicate positive messages in a fun, informative and interactive manner. A born entertainer & speaker, her spunky personality, striking presence and joyful spirit, draws in an audience everytime! Her energy, passion and story are truly inspirational!
"Cindy is a very dedicated and talented singer. She is constantly improving and challenging herself to new goals and achievements. Her positive and courageous attitude will take her far. She will bring joy and success to her career and to those involved with her."
